The unique event brought together 180 senior leaders from 22 countries, including seven African nations, from a diverse range of institutions including global, long-term investors and sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions and corporates.

With their long-term outlooks, sovereign wealth funds and other long-term asset owners make ideal investment partners for African organisations seeking stable, patient investment.

By engaging in open and transparent debate, the delegates were able to build a more detailed understanding of the African opportunity and develop actionable strategies for the continent. This included identifying a range of investment opportunities in Africa driven by the urgent requirement to meet the needs of young and rapidly growing populations and the emergence of a middle class. Key sectors in focus included energy, renewables, healthcare, and education.
