Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (“ADIA”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data handled in the course of its business activities.

This notice explains, at a high level, how ADIA processes personal data when you interact with our website or otherwise engage with us for business or operational purposes. Further information may be obtained from the separate privacy notices referred to below.

Collection of Personal Data

Depending on the nature of your interaction, ADIA may process personal data such as contact details, professional information, and information you choose to provide when communicating with us.

In addition, ADIA collects some personal data from you when you visit the website www.adia.ae (“the Site”).  For example, ADIA collects the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the domain you use to access the internet, the date and time you access our Site, the pages you visit, and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the Site. The Site uses only essential technical cookies required for security and basic functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioural analytics.

This information is not shared with anyone beyond the support staff for the Site (except when required by law or other law enforcement authorities) and is used only as a source of statistical information. ADIA will also collect any information you voluntarily send to us using any of the links on the Site.

Purposes of Processing

ADIA will process personal data only where necessary for legitimate business activities, including:

  • Managing enquiries and communications

  • Operating and securing our website and systems

  • Managing relationships with counterparties, service providers, and stakeholders

  • Complying with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

ADIA does not process personal data for marketing purposes.

Personal data may be shared on a need-to-know basis with trusted service providers or other relevant parties, including parties located outside the UAE, where required for business or operational purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards and legal requirements.

Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law or internal governance and records retention requirements.
